POUR OUT YOUR HEART

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” (Psalm 62:8 KJV)

There are times when life feels cumbersome and overwhelming. As humans, we will face challenges, fears, frustrations, and pain that can be a burden to us. Many are sometimes driven to bottle up their feelings or emotions as a show of strength or fear of being judged as weak by other people. However, from our opening scripture, we see that God is happy to receive our complaints, petitions and deepest concerns.

God is that outlet that never gets tired of you. All your problems and challenges put together are not too big for God to hear, understand or handle. The problem is that we often see God the way others see us or the way we see ourselves. God is not unconcerned about what you are going through, neither is He incapable of dealing with your challenges. The question is: do you see your issues as too big to be communicated to him?

God’s arms are wide open to receive every content of your heart. Play your part by pouring your heart out to Him and watch Him do the heavy lifting for you. Problems may outweigh men but they can never outweigh God because our God is not lightweight. David often cried out to God when in distress because He understood that He was not alone. Take a cue from him and cry out to God because He is well able to take away your struggles, lighten your burdens and allay your fears.
