Be grateful always

Brethren, we thank God for the gift of life, for His mercies are new every morning. In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, it is easy to focus on what we lack or desire. However, the Bible teaches us to cultivate a heart of gratitude, recognizing God’s goodness in every aspect of our lives.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Gratitude is not just a feeling but a choice to acknowledge God’s blessings, even in the midst of trials. When we are thankful, we shift our focus from our problems to God’s provision.

Consider the many blessings we often overlook: the air we breathe, the relationships we cherish, and the daily provisions we receive. These are gifts from a loving Father who knows our needs and desires to bless us abundantly.

Let us also remember the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19. Only one returned to thank Jesus after being healed. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?” This story reminds us of the importance of expressing our gratitude, not just feeling it.

Today, let us pause and reflect on the goodness of God in our lives. Let us thank Him for His faithfulness, for the small and great things He has done. As we cultivate a grateful heart, we draw closer to God and open ourselves to even more of His blessings.

May we carry this attitude of gratitude into every area of our lives, shining as examples of God’s love and faithfulness to those around us. Amen.
