WALKING IN OBEDIENCE
“If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15 NIV)
Obedience is a vital aspect of our walk with God. It’s not merely about following rules but about responding to God’s love with a heart that desires to please Him. In John 14:15, Jesus makes it clear that our obedience is a reflection of our love for Him. When we truly love someone, we naturally want to honour and respect their wishes. The same is true in our relationship with God.
Walking in obedience means aligning our actions with God’s Word, even when it’s challenging. It requires trust, humility, and a willingness to submit to His will, knowing that His plans for us are good. It’s about saying “yes” to God’s ways, even when our feelings or circumstances try to sway us in a different direction.
Obedience is not always easy, but it brings great rewards. It deepens our relationship with God, brings peace to our hearts, and allows His blessings to flow in our lives. When we walk in obedience, we walk in the light of His guidance, protected from the pitfalls that come with going our own way.
Scripture for the day

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
Confession
