PURPOSEFUL LIVING
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 KJV)
Oftentimes, we believers complicate the subject of purpose. Living purposefully simply means aligning your daily life with the divine purpose God has for you. This is about more than just setting goals for yourself or achieving success; it is about seeking to fulfil the unique role God has designed for you.
The Bible tells us that every human being is created with a specific purpose in God’s mind. Our opening text reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, designed to carry out the good works that God has prepared for us. This divine craftsmanship means that every aspect of our lives, be it our talents, passions, positions and experiences (good or bad), plays a part in God’s master plan.
To identify your specific purpose in life, start by seeking God’s guidance through the help of the Holy Spirit. Spend time in prayer and meditation on God’s Word, seeking divine revelation of the ways God wants you to contribute to His kingdom here on the earth. Importantly, after having identified your purpose, live it out daily. You are helped to fulfil your purpose!
