OBEDIENCE WHEN IT MAKES NO SENSE

‘And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten (2 Chronicles  20:21-22 KJV)

In the opening scripture, God told Jehoshaphat to put the choir before the army, and he would win the battle. That instruction to put people without any military training ahead of real soldiers doesn’t  make any sense. That can only require faith. In fact, every miracle may not make sense, but it always makes faith.

The Bible tells us that while Jesus was a guest at a wedding, the host ran out of wine (see John 2:3). Mary,  His mother, brought this to His notice, and she instructed the servants to do whatever Jesus told them to do. The Bible says, “Jesus saith unto them, fill the water pots with water and they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them , draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.” (John 2:7-8)

God wants you to obey so that you can see His miracles. What is God asking you to do that makes you uncomfortable or makes no sense to you? Remember, a miracle doesn’t have to make sense to you, but it does require your obedience.

Scripture for the day

Hebrews 11:7 KJV

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
