LEARN TO REJOICE

My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.” (Psalm 71:23 KJV)

Joy is not dependent on your condition, situation or circumstance. Joy is a thing of the heart, a conscious and deliberate state of being, and not a fleeting emotion. The Apostle Paul was an expert at rejoicing in the midst of persecutions. Satan was constantly stirring up trouble for him, but Paul’s attitude never changed; he constantly declared His love for God by rejoicing, no matter what the devil brings or throws at Him (Romans 8:35-39).

God wants you to have the same disposition as Apostle Paul. Do not get all caught up in what people think about you, what people say about you or what they do to you. Rather, get caught up in pleasing God; get caught up in the glorious hope that is ahead; get caught up in praise because that is God’s will for you. Learn to overlook the negativities around you, and focus your attention on the fact that Jesus said you are blessed. When you bask in the knowledge of God’s blessing, being joyful will not be difficult for you.

What most people fail to realize is that nothing causes depression for the devil than seeing you rejoice. Supernatural strength is released in you when you rejoice, even in the midst of difficult situations. Scriptures say that, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22 KJV). Therefore, learn to rejoice always.
