LAY YOUR CROWN BEFORE GOD

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” (Psalm 95:6 KJV)

In our adoration of God, we often describe Him as the King of kings. This means that God is the supreme commander of the universe that every other king or commander bows to. Romans 13:1 says that God puts rulers in places of power and influence. Everyone we see with a crown today got installed by our God. Hallelujah!

To therefore worship God is to lay our crowns before Him. When we worship God, we tell Him that He is the ultimate ruler over all the earth, and that our significance does not exist without Him. All the respect, honour, accolades and importance men ascribe us are nothing compared to who God is to us.

The angels bow to worship God, and scriptures also state that the twenty-four elders pay obeisance to the One who alone occupies the throne of grace and mercy. We must never allow pride to diminish the relevance of God over our lives. That you are relevant today, is because God made you so. Lay your crowns at the feet of the greatest King.

Scripture for the day

Revelation 4:10-11 KJV

[10] The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, [11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Confession

Praise be to the one who is glorious in Holiness and plenteous in mercy. Amen!
