FIRST WITHIN, THEN WITHOUT
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23 KJV)
True transformation always begins from within. God works first in our hearts, shaping our thoughts, desires, and attitudes, before it becomes visible in our actions and circumstances. Just like a seed planted in the ground, the roots must grow deep before the plant breaks through the soil and becomes visible. It’s the same with our spiritual journey; God desires to change our inner life before manifesting His plans outwardly.
It’s easy to focus on what we see. Our struggles, challenges, or unmet desires, but God is more concerned with who we are becoming in Him. When our hearts are aligned with His will, and our minds renewed by His Word, we become vessels ready to receive His blessings and to walk in His purpose. This inward transformation affects how we respond to life’s challenges and how we interact with others. When peace, faith, and love are rooted within us, they become evident in our relationships, decisions, and actions.
God often allows us to go through periods of inward growth and refinement before we see outward change. These are times of deepening faith, building character, and learning to trust Him more. As we allow Him to work within us, He prepares us for the blessings and opportunities that lie ahead. Remember, the greatest changes in life begin inside your heart. Trust God with the process, and you will see the fruit of His work in due time.
