 UNEXPECTED HELP

“But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.” (Exodus 1:17 KJV)

Without tremendous faith, no Christian life can be extraordinary. We must believe in the sovereignty and power of Christ to do the impossible and achieve the unimaginable. God’s ability to save and deliver us from whatever circumstances and situations we find ourselves is never in doubt, if only we will keep depending on Him.

The opening scripture x-rays the travails of God’s people in the land of Egypt and how the King at the time had commanded that every male offspring of the Hebrew women be killed. However, God used the Hebrew midwives, who were mandated to carry out this evil plot, to bring safety to His people. This tells us that God can facilitate our victory from unexpected sources.

Actually, God is a Master at orchestrating help from the unlikeliest of places, and all that is required for us to access His divine will for us is our total trust in him (Psalms 121:1-2). Even though people are the channels through which God will bring help to us, we must look up to Him for that to happen. You should never trust in the arm of flesh because its capacity to deliver is limited. Only God is fail-proof!

Scripture for the day

Psalm 94:18 KJV

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
