OVERCOMING TEMPTATIONS

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”  (1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV)

Temptation is an inevitable part of life, but it’s not something we face alone. Just as Jesus overcame temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), we too have the strength through Him to resist. God knows the struggles we face and promises never to allow us to be tempted beyond our capacity.

When temptation comes, it is not a test of our worth, but of our trust in God’s faithfulness. Each time we lean on Him, we grow stronger, more refined in our faith, and more aligned with His purpose for us. Temptation may feel overwhelming in that moment, but remember, God always provides a way out, whether it’s through prayer, a change of focus, or seeking counsel from a fellow believer who is matured in the faith.

In moments of weakness, let’s call on the power of the Holy Spirit to help us resist and remember that our victory over temptation glorifies God and strengthens our walk with Him. Always walk with the knowledge that there is no temptation too big for you to win over, as scriptures teach us that we are empowered to overcome all temptations. Your strength is greater than your adversity even when it comes in the form of a temptation.
