YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV)
It is normal in our world today for people to combine many responsibilities including jobs, business, family life and personal ambitions. The sad part though, is that many pursue all these things to the detriment of the most important thing – pursuing God. This is why the opening scriptures remind us that our primary role in life is not things or people but God’s kingdom.
At the heart of what truly matters in life is a life in, with and for Christ. To seek God’s kingdom means to pursue His will and purposes for your life. Your primary responsibility is not to achieve corporate or marital success, neither is it to meet expectations set by culture or society. You must focus on allowing God’s Word and principles to guide your daily decisions and actions.
Spread God’s love and the truth of the Word to as many as you can reach. It is your duty to ensure that God’s kingdom reigns on the earth. Putting God first shows how much you honour Him. When you place the kingdom first, all other pursuits will find their proper place and balance in your life. Seek God first!
Scripture for the day
Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
Confession
From today, the pattern of my life and existence reflects God first before anything or anyone else, in Jesus’ Name.
Prophetic Prayers
1. I call forth the helpers of my destiny to resume their assignment in my life, in Jesus’ Name.
2. I prophesy that I will end this year bigger and better than I started, in Jesus’ Name.
3. I command every loophole that the enemy is using to siphon my money to be plugged, in Jesus’ Name.
